Technology-based gender-based violence (TFGBV): forms and prevention

As part of the cycle of meetings, a training will be held at the Free Academy of Tbilisi on the topic:

“Technology-Based Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV): Forms and Prevention.”

 

The meeting is being held within the framework of the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence, which aims to end violence against women globally.

Brief Program Description:

 

Since September 2023, the Mercy Corps office in Georgia has launched a 3-year program in Georgia and Armenia - "Safe Online: Empowering Women in the Digital Economy."

The goal of the program is to promote inclusive economic growth through the democratization of digital transformation and ensuring women’s online safety in business.

 

Within the framework of the program, activities include raising public awareness on the forms of technology-based gender-based violence (TFGBV) and how to protect against it, conducting research on TFGBV in Georgia and Armenia, uniting government, non-government, business, and educational organizations to prevent TFGBV and develop relevant legislative initiatives.

 

The program is funded with the support of the U.S. Department of State and is implemented by Mercy Corps.
