What is Erasmus?
The term Erasmus+ stands for “European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students” in Georgian.
The Erasmus program is part of the European Union’s “Lifelong Learning Projects”, which enables universities to cooperate with each other in a multinational manner. Under this program, students (as well as other target groups) receive financial support for studying abroad and doing internships abroad.
Through the Erasmus+ program, the European Union offers exchange programs to students at bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels at European universities and provides financial support for students for two semesters, a maximum of 12 (twelve) months. The aim of the Erasmus+ programs is to help as many students as possible to improve their future career opportunities and increase their chances in the job market as a result of the knowledge they have gained while studying abroad.
